The 2023 Illinois PTA Convention is coming up on Thursday, April 20 (7pm-9pm) and Saturday, April 22 (9am-2pm). Here are the top five reasons you should attend.
- It’s online. No need to travel, and if you don’t turn on your camera, no one will know you’re having a bad hair day. Plus, it’s only $15.00/person to register until April 5th. Attending convention is a legitimate use of PTA funds, so your PTA can vote to have as many people attend as they wish.
- You get to direct where the Illinois PTA is going. Illinois PTA is a member-driven organization, and convention delegates will elect new state leaders, conduct business regarding the budget, dues, and bylaws, and vote on a resolution amendment.
- You’ll learn something. From workshops to networking with fellow PTA members from across Illinois, you’ll get new ideas for how to run your PTA, new programs to engage your families, and more.
- You’ll get to celebrate (and maybe be celebrated). We will be presenting our awards for Outstanding Administrator, Teacher, and Volunteer of the Year. Our PTA membership stars will be recognized as well.
- You’ll have your passion for PTA reinvigorated. Convention is a great time to be reminded of why we PTA—making a difference in the lives of children in our schools, community, and state. As one Illinois PTA Convention attendee said a few years ago, “Wow! What a great experience. I just want to go home, quit my job, and spend all my time working for kids.”
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Register to attend the Illinois PTA Convention today!
