How is your PTA doing? Awash in volunteers? Families eagerly joining your PTA and appreciating all you do? Moving PTA meetings to bigger rooms to accommodate the crowd? If not, the National PTA School of Excellence program could help improve your PTA’s performance with volunteers and family engagement. And if your PTA is already checking all those boxes, why not get recognition for all the good work your PTA is doing? Sign-ups run now through October 15th for the 2024-2025 program.
School of Excellence is built off of the National PTA Standards for Family-School Partnerships. By signing up for the program, your PTA will survey families to assess the school climate regarding family engagement, receive a tailored roadmap of programs focused on an area of your choosing to improve family engagement, and finally, conduct a follow up survey to document your success. Completing the program earns your PTA and school the School of Excellence designation, and your PTA might even receive national recognition and grant money like Twin Echo Elementary PTA in 2023 and Helen Keller Junior High School PTA in 2021.
Illinois PTA knows what a difference the School of Excellence program can make for a PTA, school, and community, and because of that, Illinois PTA is committed to helping PTAs that enroll in the program complete it and have their accomplishment recognized and celebrated. Sign up today for the 2024-2025 School of Excellence program and grow your PTA through improved family engagement.
