With summer moving into its final month, your kids may have reached the “There’s nothing to do” stage. While it’s certainly okay for kids to be bored, sometimes you need to find an activity for them so you can get something done (even if that something is just preserving the last of your sanity). Common Sense Media has created a list of 30 cool things that kids can learn online for free by watching a video, following a list of instructions, or reading about a subject.
Like all of Common Sense Media’s recommendations, the activities are kid-friendly. Projects include:
- Play Calvinball (from Calvin and Hobbes)
- Paint your toast
- Make homemade bubbles
- Create a comic strip
- Make ice cream in a bag
- Build a house for fairies
- Make a coin or card disappear
